Absolute Poker Full Review
Absolute Poker is a survivor in the online poker world. The site was one of the later entrants in the online poker boom and, after several major missteps, the room appeared like it was going nowhere.
Instead Absolute Poker made the decision to join forces with UB Poker (formerly UltimateBet) in 2008 and form the CEREUS poker network. The site now offers top 10 player traffic and a greatly enhanced playing experience.
The new motto for Cereus is “Bigger. Badder. Better.” and it’s hard to disagree for the most part as Absolute Poker has created an overall high-quality poker room, offering easy-to-use software and an excellent playing experience.
The software now offers all the features expected from a major player in the online poker industry with fast play, nice graphics, informative statistics functions and fantastic multi-table options.
The game variety at Absolute Poker is also very good with Hold’em, Omaha, Seven-Card Stud and Razz available. Omaha and Stud both have Hi-Lo versions as well and there are many short-handed tables.
Absolute Poker is endorsed by reality star Trishelle Cannatella and its pro team includes online wizard Matt Vengrin and the hottest girl in poker – Lacey Jones.
Players are starting to take notice and Absolute Poker has been gaining momentum ever since the merger with UB Poker.
Software and Graphics
If you’re looking for simple, straight-forward software then it’s hard to argue against Absolute Poker.
The lobby and tables are very simple and players who abhor clutter are going to like the interface. On the other hand some might find Absolute Poker rather plain looking compared to some of the competing poker clients.
Either way the platform, which is provided by the CEREUS network, is solid and it offers multi-tabling features, hand history stats, four-color deck and a detachable chat window.
Some of the newer improvements include final-table deal-making, a rabbit cam and both pot and half-pot betting buttons.
Those looking for a completely customizable experience might be disappointed by Absolute Poker, which only offers three table views and doesn’t stray far from its red, white and blue theme.
